Privacy Policy
This policy covers MyTryOnStudio on the web, the iPhone and Android apps, and the Chrome extension. They all use the same account and the same data. The extension's own page-reading rules are in its extension privacy policy.
What we collect
- Your account: your email, name, and phone number if you add one. Your password is stored only as a one-way hash. If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email and a Google account ID.
- Photos you upload: photos of yourself (and of a partner, in Couples), and garment photos.
- What you create: try-on images, poses and videos, the product photos they were made from, and which AI model made each one.
- Product photos you pick while browsing a store in the app or with the Chrome extension. Only the one photo you choose is sent, never the rest of the page.
- Shopping: your bag, wishlist, saved addresses, orders and reviews.
- Points: your balance, what you spent points on, and the points packages you bought. On the website, payments are handled by Razorpay; in the iPhone and Android apps, by Apple or Google. We receive a payment reference, never your card or bank details.
- Shopping assistant chats, stored while you're signed in so the assistant can pick up where you left off.
- Usage analytics on the website: pages viewed and features used, through PostHog, Google Analytics and Firebase Analytics. The mobile apps don't include analytics.
How we use it
Only to run MyTryOnStudio: to sign you in, make the try-ons you ask for, keep your history, take orders, and charge and track points. We use usage analytics to find what is broken or confusing.
We don't sell your data, we don't show ads, and we don't use your photos to train AI models.
AI providers that receive your photos
When you make a try-on, pose or video, we send the photos it needs (your photo, the product photo, or an earlier result) and a written instruction to one of these providers. They return the image or video, which we store for you.
- Google Cloud Vertex AI: virtual try-on, and the shopping assistant's replies (your chat messages, not your photos).
- OpenRouter, which passes the request to the model you or the plan chose. Today those models come from OpenAI, Google, Microsoft and Meta.
- fal.ai: short videos made from your images.
Each provider handles the request under its own terms for business API customers. The website and the apps ask for your agreement before your first try-on.
Other services we use
- Amazon Web Services hosts the app, the database and your files, and sends our emails.
- Razorpay processes points purchases on the website.
- Apple and Google process points purchases made in the iPhone and Android apps.
- Google for "Sign in with Google", if you use it.
- Twilio delivers a WhatsApp message only when you choose to send a result to WhatsApp.
How long we keep it
Until you delete it. You can delete any photo, try-on, pose or video yourself at any time, and clear your assistant chat history.
Deleting your account deletes your profile, photos, everything you created and the files behind them, your bag, wishlist, addresses, reviews, chats and points. Past orders are kept without your name on them, because we have to keep sales records. Razorpay keeps its own record of any payment you made.
Your choices and rights
You can see and correct your details in your account, download any image you made, and delete your data or your whole account from the app or the website. For anything else, such as a copy of your data or a correction you can't make yourself, email us.
Photos of other people
Only upload a photo of someone else, such as a partner in Couples, if they have agreed. MyTryOnStudio is for adults: don't use it if you are under 18, and don't upload photos of children.
Security
Everything travels over HTTPS. Your files are stored in private storage. On the apps, your sign-in is kept in the phone's secure storage.
Changes
If this policy changes, we update the date below. If a change affects how your photos are used, we email you before it applies.
